This 1931 Excelsior-Henderson KJ Streamline 4-cylinder is from the final year of production and is as good as the Henderson dream ever got.

Most notably was the styling. Only 1000 were made over a 20 year period starting in 1929. This stunning bike was lovingly prepared by Kevin. This sale is for 1 KJ - KL Battery Box.

The motorcycle with sidecar outfit was restored back in the 1980s and was fully operational. It includes an original hub in near perfect conditon, a complete original engine with carburetor attached and the parts for a second engine including manifolds.

Parts for a 1924 JE model Harley Davidson including frame, forks, wheel, hub, 2x 1200cc barrels, flywheels, crank cases,chain cover, ignition coil (photographed separately) partial battery box cover, front and rear mudguards, oil pump, cages and various other smaller engine parts. The frame on this bike is dated as 1915 and the engine number is consistent with 1914.

Having handled these parts myself to photograph them, I would also like to add that you can really see the craftsmanship that went into making them all those years ago – beautiful alloys and precision made pieces. Stunning.

He totally redesigned the Henderson 4-cylinder once again, reverting to an F-head design, but with a much stronger 5-bearing crankshaft, larger cylinder fins, a better frame and fork, and a new “Streamline” Art Deco-inspired styling. The company developed the Super X motorcycle as a new proprietary motorcycle, including a new engine, frame, and all related drive and styling components, adopting styling from the earlier Excelsior-Henderson motorcycles from the 1905-1931 timeframe.
